Student Innovation Challenge: Used Oil Plastics

TRANSFORM WASTE INTO OPPORTUNITY!

Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA) and the University of Alberta are calling on creative students like you to design innovative solutions for recycling used oil container plastics!

The Challenge:

University of Alberta students are tasked with thinking outside the box to create a sustainable product or design using used oil container plastics. Provide a market-driven solution that can be scaled up by industry and drive circularity in the market!

How It Works:

Register your team and work together to submit your design proposal and detailed project plan. Proposals will be evaluated on innovation, market impact, and feasibility. Details to be defined at kickoff.

Prizes:

  • 1st Place: $3,000
  • 2nd Place: $2,000
  • 3rd Place: $1,000
