Founded in Alberta in 2005, eCycle Solutions is one of Canada’s largest e-waste recyclers, committed to protecting and improving our environment through safe, convenient, and cost-effective recycling technologies.

With a national footprint, we provide industry-leading e-waste solutions for manufacturers, retailers, municipalities and consumers, regardless of their location and the scale of their requirements.

What makes your business unique?

eCycle is the only electronics processor in Canada currently utilizing a full-scale use of a float-sink tank which creates a process in which less desirable and unusable polymers will sink to the bottom, while the desired polymers will float, creating a more suitable and marketable product for end users. The Float Sink also removes contamination from the shredded e-plastics stream and allows eCycle to recover valuable metals currently being lost in outbound plastics shipments enhancing the amount of material recovery from our unique process.

If there was something that Albertans could do to make recycling these materials easier, what would it be?

Make recycling behaviour consistent in all our lives. The more routine we make the recycling process for all categories, the better we will leave the environment for future generations.

Integrating recycling into regular tasks like grocery shopping and running errands can help keep recycling rates high in our communities.

What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about your business or about the recycling process of the materials you handle?

eCycle partners with certain retailers to enhance accessibility to public drop-off locations across our Nation.

If it has a cord, or battery, or needs electricity to power it, we can recycle it!
